The Student Government Associate at Western Kentucky University is offering students vouchers for half off lost student ID cards, according to a report in the College Heights Herald.
An SGA administrative vice president came up with the idea when, as a resident adviser, he found out how many students lost their IDs.
Students will be able to receive half off, $10, of their first purchase of a replacement student ID. The bill allocated $800 and will partially cover the cost of 80 ID cards and will only cover the first loss of an ID.
Some 11 students took advantage of the program in the fall semester.
