The University of Cincinnati has built an effective and efficient means to increase throughput at its campus dining facilities with a clever use of existing hardware and a few additional cost-effective components.

Mobile credentials, and by extension mobile access, are often thought of as being “on the roadmap” types of functions. Lots of campuses would love to have it, but few are actually moving into the mobile realm. One campus that has turned to mobile access is Emory University, where students can leverage Heartland’s OneCard Mobile solution to gain access to a campus library, as well as make purchases at select vending machines while inside.

Rounding out the week’s coverage is a video spotlight of the University of Colorado Boulder’s campus card promotional video. Boulder’s card program has put together an informative, well edited and professional video for its students to learn about the many uses of the Buff OneCard.

We’re kicking off our office tour in Statesboro, Georgia on the campus of Georgia Southern University where the campus card has grown to be an integral part of student life.

It’s import to market a campus card program to both inform students and the campus community of the many uses for their ID as well as to reinforce the value that the credential holds. It can be difficult to make what is a fairly common task into a novel, engaging and fun experience for your target audience.
