Western Michigan University has decided to allow its students and faculty to help decide what their campus credentials will look like by opening an online poll to decide the card’s new logo.
An ongoing, online survey open to students and faculty at Western Michigan University will help to determine the look of the new Bronco identification card design, with the final decision to be made in February. The survey is being managed by WMU’s Public Affairs Office, and provides participants with four different graphic designs to choose from.
As the card will be used exclusively by the faculty and student body, the folks at WMU felt it only fitting that they have some say in the card’s design. As reported by the Western Herald, WMU students have taken notice of the survey and have expressed an interest in some of the design options, particularly those that feature iconic local landmarks.
“The ID card design that have the Miller Auditorium fountain, as well as the design of the many different snapshots of campus landmarks caught my attention,” says Darrell Cross, a WMU student. “Those are the ones I like because they are different.”
Fellow WMU student Liz Clark echoed support for the online survey for the new ID design. “It’s great that the university wants student input,” says Clark. “Putting the poll online with the different options was great also.”
Students wishing to offer their feedback by participating in the survey can do so through January 29. All participants must have a WMU-issued Bronco Net ID and password.
