U.S. Bank opens branch at University of Washington
Students, faculty and staff at the University of Washington in Seattle no longer have to leave the campus to find a bank. That’s because U.S. Bank is opening a new branch at the renovated University of Washington Husky Union Building, known as the HUB.
The former bank branch at the university closed in 2010 to make way for a $121 million renovation of the Husky Union Building. The branch is opening today to coincide with the opening of the HUB, returning full service banking to the university’s more than 42,000 students, faculty and staff.
“The new location will be an added convenience for so many of our customers who are coming to campus every day,” said Dan Hoke, senior vice president and head of on-site banking for U.S. Bank.
There are also six U.S. Bank ATMs located throughout the campus.
On-site banking is a major component of U.S. Bank’s branch growth strategy. U.S. Bank has 29 other university campus branches throughout the U. S.. In Washington alone it has offices at the University of Washington Bookstore, Seattle Pacific University, Washington State University in Pullman, Gonzaga University and Central Washington University.
