Waukesha County Technical College has started its search for a new banking partner to fill its on-campus location.
A 2009 poll conducted at the Waukesha County Technical College found that 69% of students would use an on-campus bank. Now, the school is seeking proposals for a full-service branch on its Pewaukee campus.
According to the Milwaukee Business Journal, the new banking partnership will apply to the Pewaukee campus, one of Wisconsin’s 16-member technical college system. The college is seeking a bank branch to provide personal banking services, including online banking as well as link to the campus ID cards, to support debit card functionality.
The college plans to house the bank branch in a 14-by-7-foot space located in “The Hub,” a staff and student dining area at 800 Main Street in Pewaukee.
According to a request for proposals, Waukesha County Technical College currently has more than 27,000 students that come to the Pewaukee campus each year. It has approximately 1,250 employees.
