Porterville College, U.S. Bank partner for OneCard program
Porterville College has partnered with U.S. Bank to launch OneCard, Porterville’s new campus identification card.
Combining the student ID with a prepaid debit MasterCard, OneCard is designed as a solution that can help manage student expenses, while expediting the financial aid disbursement process. According to the Porterville Recorder, the new OneCard program is set to commence this spring.
Students will begin receiving their cards via mail beginning late January and running through February. Upon receiving their card, students have the option to then register the card online through a secure link on the Porterville College web site.
In addition to using the new credentials as their standard form of identification at the college, the new OneCards also enable students to pay for copy and printing services on campus, as well as provide access to local and state library resources.
Students who elect to activate a prepaid MasterCard account in conjunction with their OneCard are not required to pay enrollment or monthly fees. Additionally, funds can be added to the account from one or multiple sources, including parents, employers or financial aid offices – also at no cost. Cardholders can also withdraw funds from the account free of charge at any U.S. Bank or MoneyPass-branded ATM located on Porterville’s campus or nationwide.
Online and mobile resources are also available for student cardholders to offer better control over their finances. U.S. Bank operates some 3,088 banking offices spanning 25 states, with an additional 4,937 ATM locations.
