Troy, Alabama, February 9, 2004 – The Board of Directors of the National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU) announced the hiring of Lowell Adkins as the organization’s new Executive Director.
“Mr. Adkins came highly recommended from professionals in the industry,” says Shirley Everson, NACCU President. Adkins has worked in the campus card industry as an administrator in higher education, an executive manager for a campus card industry vendor, and an independent consultant. He has been involved in the campus card business for more than 22 years during which time he has built strong relationships with professional associations and many administrators in the Higher Ed marketplace.
“He has a global view of the industry and brings this perspective to our organization,” adds Everson. With his institutional perspective as well as experience from his vendor positions, Adkins brings a unique blend to the position that can only benefit NACCU.
“I am very honored by the confidence that the NACCU Board has shown in me in offering this great opportunity. I am excited to be able to participate in our industry in this new role. I look forward to working with the wonderful variety of folks in our community and expanding the outreach and services of the Association”, stated Adkins upon accepting the Board’s offer.
