CBORD User Group Conference Highlights

CampusIDNews Staff   ||   May 16, 2002  ||

Ithaca, New York – Over one hundred representatives from colleges, universities, corporations, hospitals, and other organizations throughout North America came to Ithaca last week to attend the 23rd Annual CBORD User Group Conference held at The Statler Hotel on the Cornell University Campus.

The main focus of this annual conference is education. Attendees participate in over 60 sessions to enhance their knowledge of CBORD systems. Perhaps the most beneficial session is the User Caucus Session, where users meet and discuss what system enhancements and improvements they want to see.

“The User Caucus Session tells clients we1re listening and care,” states John Alexander, president of CBORD. “Feedback from our clients has been vital in the development and evolution of CBORD products.”

Also during the conference, attendees had opportunities to network socially with other CBORD system users as well as with CBORD1s executive management, sales, and support staff. Thursday1s networking luncheon focused on anti-poverty efforts: attendees donated the $200 that would have been spent on dessert to Habitat for Humanity, a housing organization that builds affordable housing for those in need of adequate shelter.

The CBORD Group, Inc. is a worldwide software and integration company for campus-wide ID card programs, housing management, and cashless dining systems located in Ithaca, New York.
