CBORD recognized two organizations and one individual for outstanding achievements in 2012 during the company’s annual User Group Conference in Atlanta.
The One CBORD Award went to the University of Michigan’s Residential Dining Services, which is made up of 17 dining and retail operations serving approximately 3.5 million meals a year. The dining service features integrated CBORD software and hardware solutions for dining, housing, campus ID access control, catering and nutrition education.
The Miami University of Ohio won the Visionary Award for its access control and campus card installation. The university implemented CBORD’s CS Access solution together with more than 4,200 online electronic lock, all within 90 days. The new service offers text-messaging features such as Open MyDoor for residence hall room access and MasterKey that enables students and staff to manage access control from their phones.
The Above and Beyond Award went to Kimberlee Davis, a nutrition systems coordinator for the Greenville Hospital System in South Carolina. She won the award for helping to pave the way for CBORD’s Room Service Choice, a new Web-based, mobile meal ordering software application designed for staff-assisted entry of meal orders using an iPad or Android tablet.
