BadgePass merges with Data Equipment

Credential management systems provider, BadgePass, Inc. has announced a strategic merger with Data Equipment, Inc. effective immediately.

For BadgePass, the addition of the Data Equipment team represents the sixth merger or acquisition in four years and expands the company’s footprint and service coverage to fourteen states.

“This merger is another big step in our long-term plan to sell and promote our credential management solution across North America. We are always looking to expand our sales and service coverage throughout the US and we will continue to grow our business in areas that make sense to the team," says Phillip King, CEO of BadgePass. "This deal was a perfect fit for our company culture and sales strategy and we’re excited to leverage the business knowledge, customer base and local commitment of the company.”

All Data Equipment team members will be joining the BadgePass team, including Data Equipment's previous owner, Bill Scott, who will act as Director of Enterprise Solutions and Special Projects. The copmany is headquartered in Pensacola, Florida and has regional offices in Nashville, Evansville and Orlando. All regional offices will remain open in their current locations, and will continue to offer customers the same local service and support.

Data Equipment has provided issuance, personalization and credential management solutions to its customers for nearly 40 years. The company offers extensive expertise from its work in corporate, education, healthcare, casinos and hospitality and government verticals.

Data Equipment will join BadgePass and its product line that includes photo ID, access control, visitor management, time management, and campus one card services via the company's TotalCard solution.
