Zoom calls are seemingly the de facto norm these days. So rather than writing this out in an article we thought a conversation would be a nice change of pace. Many universities are now formulating and implementing phase-back plans that will see students return to campus in time for the fall semester. This means that campus services and infrastructure will need to be back up and running. But what challenges does this pose to campus card administrators in the near term?

This week at its annual client conference, Transact announced a new collaboration with HID Global that will enable Transact Mobile Credential to be accepted on HID physical access control readers. Transact Mobile Credential supports student IDs in Apple Wallet and Google Pay, and enables students to use their mobile device to secure access to campus facilities and residence halls, as well as payments for dining, laundry, vending, and retail.
