Biometric Airline Security Having Issues

In the flagship effort of biometric airline security in Heathrow, the iris scanning technology has already hit a few bumps in the road. Apparently the pilot program is already failing the bulk of the tests imposed on it. And during those tests the iris scan system apparently featured crashes which took as long as eight hours to fix. Some conservative members of parliament have said that the system will cause delays. Others believe that the system could have been introduced too soon, and that biometrics technology as a whole could use more development time before brought to the public.
