Monday, May 29, 2006 in News

Prepping for the upcoming World Cup?

So is our favorite technology, says an article posted at Internet news portal All Headline News (reported by PCWorld.com).

The German government will issue tickets with RFID chips, complete with a panel to keep a bird’s eye-view of WC security situations and finger printing devices for “fast identification.”

More than 3.5 million tickets with RFID tags will be checked against a database as fans pass through entrance gates at all 12 stadiums.

Meanwhile, we’ll be watching the game. [end]
