U.S. Federal Government releases specs for physical access control systems
Another crucial step in the government-wide initiative to standardize identity credentials and access control systems has been completed. The document, Technical Implementation Guidance: Smart Card Enabled Physical Access Control Systems Version 2.2 has been approved by the Government Smart Card Interagency Advisory Board. The document, prepared by the Physical Access Interagency Interoperability Working Group was published on July 30, 2004.
