CMS DigiNet Solutions becomes 20th CBORD Campus Elements Partner

Thursday, April 29, 2004 in News

Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., a leading provider of campus card systems and CMS DigiNet Solutions (Tucson, AZ), a provider of solutions for print control, have announced a partnership agreement that will allow colleges and universities to interface between their Campus Card System and their DigiNet e-Services System, through CBORD’s Campus Elements Program.

DigiNet’s eServices allow a college to monitor and track networked printer system usage via LAN, WAN or over the Internet. DigiNet has real-time reporting that allows the tally of print and copy sales by machine, workstation, user, and other combinations, by choosing from nearly fifty reportable fields. DigiNet uses Microsoft SQL Server to form a powerful webbased management system. This allows DigiNet to be securely administrated from anywhere on the network. Moreover, with the new interface to CBORD’s Odyssey Privilege Control System (PCS), DigiNet e-Services allows card holders to use their campus-wide declining balance or charge account to pay for copies and print jobs.

CBORD’s Odyssey PCS allows colleges and universities to increase revenue, improve transaction time, and control the costs of auxiliary services to card-carrying customers. Their customers can take advantage of the convenience offered by Odyssey PCS through using their Campus Card Account to pay for dining, library services, bookstore purchases, vending needs, laundry facility use, copier and printing needs, and many other uses campus-wide.

“Adding CMS DigiNet Solutions to our growing list of Campus Elements partners enforces CBORD’s commitment to finding and implementing best-of-breed solutions that will compliment our clients’ campus-wide card system and allow for improved overall service to their customers.” says Bruce Lane, CBORD partner and Vice President.

“CBORD certification provides CMS with tremendous opportunities for colleges and universities to integrate printer control management with their Odyssey campus card system. We have spoken with CBORD-based clients who are requesting full integration of PC printing and copying services through CBORD databases.” said CMS president Michael Schultz. [end]
