Higher One unveils Campus Intelligence software

Higher One launched Campus Intelligence, a solution that enables college administrators to gather institutional data that can be viewed from computers, tablets or smart phones. The newest offering is a part of the company’s Campus Labs suite which Higher One recently obtained.

With Campus Intelligence institutions can obtain data from a variety of different sources including faculty and course evaluations, student outcomes as well as student refund data from Higher One’s OneDisburse Refund Management system, said Eric Reich, senior vice president, Campus Labs. [end] 

Doctoral students at the University of Zurich have released an open-source tool that could broaden the mobile payment process on campus.

The mobile wallet solutions is called CoinBlesk, and is the brainchild of a group of University of Zurich graduates that wanted to deliver mobile payments using two-way Near Field Communication. The student-led project is being implemented in the university’s cafeteria.

Waukesha County Technical College has started its search for a new banking partner to fill its on-campus location.

A 2009 poll conducted at the Waukesha County Technical College found that 69% of students would use an on-campus bank. Now, the school is seeking proposals for a full-service branch on its Pewaukee campus.

Students at Williams College are swapping their mag stripe student IDs for a new, combined mag stripe and proximity credential.

The new IDs will be used to gain access to building and study rooms on campus both during and after hours.
