Description: The University of Ottawa, Algonquin College and Carleton University are very excited to host the 6th annual Canadian Campus Card Workshop in our beautiful nation’s capital, Ottawa. This tri-hosted workshop will be an enriching experience for those who have established card programs, those who are beginning a card program as well as those who are investigating the possibility of initiating a card program on campus. [end] 

Canadians may be paying for items with the tap of an NFC-enabled phone by the end of 2012.

According to Reuters, Canadian banks, credit card companies and telecoms are reaching an agreement on an NFC payment service that will capitalize on Canada’s robust contactless infrastructure.
