Friday, July 22, 2011

EarthSearch has received a purchase order from a Dubai reseller for its student transportation and class attendance monitoring system, SchoolsConnect. The SchoolsConnect system utilizes a combination of GPS and RFID technology to provide parents and schools with real time information about student riders and class attendance monitoring.

The integrated hardware and mobile app solution will be delivered to two Dubai schools in with additional schools added on an ongoing basis. The reseller also intends to expand offerings to other school systems in the middle-east region.

With SchoolsConnect, real-time information is delivered to parents and school staff within seconds of being picked up or dropped off by the bus. SchoolsConnect can also be configured to send messages to a parent’s mobile or email when their child has been safely picked up or dropped off at home or at school, and if the student has been excessively late for class or skipped school.

Based on EarthSearch’s LogiBoxx technology, the system also supports access control and parent/teacher communication modules which allow teachers to upload document grades and other information for parent viewing. [end]
