Compact Zebra ID card printer offers affordable, high performance card printing

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

Zebra’s newest ID card printer, the ZXP Series 3, is offering high-end features at a budget price, which makes the printer ideal for many plastic card applications, including standard employee badges, student IDs, access control cards and high-security financial cards.

Until now, organizations looking for more complex ID card printing capabilities had to look at higher-end models–and higher-end prices.

Combining the pricing of Zebra’s Value Class printers (Zebra P110i/P120i Series) with the printing capabilities of the Zebra Performance Class printers (Zebra P330i/P430i Series), the hybrid ZXP3 offers a good price point with high performance features, making it a good choice for organizations printing up to 5,000 cards per year.

The ZXP Series 3 offers multiple encoding options, including magnetic strip, contactless and contact, contact station for third-party contact encoders, lockable enclosure/card feeder, and smart card encoding over USB and Ethernet.
