ISG launches new Quick Ship Command Case design

Identification Systems Group (ISG), a provider in identification, security, and card personalization, announced in conjunction with Elliott Data Systems the release of a new design for its Command Case Solution.

Traditionally produced based on the customer’s desired configuration, the Mini Mobile Badging Unit and the newly designed Command Case Solutions are now available in a Quick Ship version. The two are produced using a standard configuration and are available to customers with a much faster turnaround.

The new case design includes an improved structure that is more efficient, provides better handling of accessory items, has more flexible PC specification options and is easier to maintain. [end] 

SML Group Ltd announced the launch of its new “ViziT” RFID item visibility solutions for the retail apparel and item tracking applications.

The ViziT solutions include a range of RFID/EAS enabled paper and woven labels, as well as tickets and sticker that can be attached to garments and stacked items. Using the SML ViziT IT cloud based data management software also provides for semi automated inventory control, as well as improved loss prevention by triggering alarms and item identification at the store exit.

The U.S. government has settled an infringement case with Leighton Technologies by agreeing to license its smart cards.

Leighton Technologies, a subsidiary of General Patent, filed a case against the federal government in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in January 2010. Leighton alleged that 54 federal agencies used its six smart card patents without authorization. Leighton’s technology was also used in e-passports.

Australia’s Commonwealth Bank has officially launched its Kaching mobile payments app for the iPhone, reports ZD Net.

Kaching enables Commbank customers to make contactless payments powered by MasterCard PayPass, as well as transfer funds to friends via Facebook and perform a number of mobile banking tasks.
