ColorID presents campus technologies at Illinois State ID University meeting

ColorID, a supplier to the campus card industry, presented at this year’s 5th annual Illinois State ID meeting hosted at Illinois State University at Bloomington.

At the meeting, ColorID shared information on advanced technologies, including biometric iris and fingerprint capture devices, secure computer sign-on solutions, ID printers and biometric employee background checking products.


Some 20 attendees from 11 different schools gathered to exchange information regarding campus identification.

All were invited to participate in hands-on demonstrations of ColorID’s fingerprint and iris identification devices. [end] 

The August meeting of the influential Government Smart Card Interagency Advisory Board (IAB) was recently held in Washington D.C. Loyola University, Chicago, is offering more buying power for its students through the campus card program, allowing them for the first time to take the card off-campus at local dining establishments. The program will start small, focusing on a handful of restaurants.
