RockWest presented contactless card technology at NACCU

RockWest Technology Group presented at the National Association of Campus Card Users annual conference, in Phoenix.

The company’s Education Business Development Manager, Steve Benitez, presented jointly with the Identification Systems Group on the topic of contactless smart cards vs. magnetic stripe cards as a secure, reliable and convenient multiple application solution for campus users.

Benitez discussed how contactless card systems allow for faster, more secure transactions, store much more data, and support multiple applications on a single card. [end] 

China’s GYRFID has announced the release of its new ISO14443A Mifare 1K/ Mifare 4K/ Mifare Ultralight multi-function contactless card.

The 13.56Mhz, 512bit contactless card is suitable for public transportation, payment systems, logistics, e-ticketing and more, according to GYRFID, and measures 86mm by 54mm, with a thickness of 0.84mm.
