CardSmith utilized at retirement communities

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

CardSmith announced that it has implemented its card program management service at three continuing care retirement communities - two in North Carolina and one in Virginia, all of which are managed by United Church and Home Services.

Under the program, residents of the facilities are issued personalized cards with pre-paid spending accounts that can be used at designated point of sale kiosks across the facilities.

United Church and Home Services have a custom Web-based transaction solution without local systems or software of any kind, and residents have 24/7 access to accounts through a dedicated cardholder account center.

United Church and Home Services say that everything is off to a good start and that they plan to expand the system to more of their locations over time. They also hope to extend the services to include vending machines and other activities the residents attend. [end]

Jaspersoft announced that CardSmith is using its business intelligence suite to provide campus customers with better decision-making through Web-based reports, dashboards and analysis.

CardSmith embeds Jaspersoft in its Software as a Service (SaaS) transaction solution enabling administrators to create reports that analyze student and consumer behavior. The CardSmith managed service provides educational institutions with campus card services without the incremental IT resource investments.
