Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Chicago-based Loyola University recently played host to ColorID’s regional Campus Identification Security Seminar. Presentations were held at the University’s digital research library, the Richard J. Klarchek Information Commons building.

Topics discussed included the latest in contactless card technologies, logical access and biometric identification devices for physical access. Products included iris cameras, fingerprint readers, logical access solutions, identification printers and employee background checking devices.

Attending schools held active discussions regarding the integration of campus ID cards within the local transit fare collection system, and attendees were even invited to participate in a hands-on demonstration of fingerprint and iris identification devices.

ColorID plans to continue their security seminar events throughout the U.S. in 2010. [end]
