CardSmith's FastStart campus card program for CCs

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

As community colleges expand they look to campus card services for the same reasons the universities do – to cut costs and enhance services. To make getting started easier, campus card solutions provider CardSmith announced its new FastStart program.

The program will waive set-up fees, fix service costs for a minimum of three years, and guarantee that programs can be launched within six weeks from the start of implementation.

First time customers will also have the option to finance terminal equipment purchases to completely eliminate capital costs.

CardSmith’s managed ASP campus card solution requires no servers or software on-campus, and no-dedicated staff to manage systems or operations.

CardSmith’s service can be deployed on one or more campuses simultaneously to include dining POS, pay for print, copy, vending, laundry, bookstore, retail, mobile and off-campus acceptance.

The offer is available to any US community college who signs with CardSmith by May 31. [end]

Jaspersoft announced that CardSmith is using its business intelligence suite to provide campus customers with better decision-making through Web-based reports, dashboards and analysis.

CardSmith embeds Jaspersoft in its Software as a Service (SaaS) transaction solution enabling administrators to create reports that analyze student and consumer behavior. The CardSmith managed service provides educational institutions with campus card services without the incremental IT resource investments.
