At the Illinois Institute of Technology an integrated system combining the campus card, physical access and video surveillance technology is improving safety and efficiency for the 7,400 students. The Odyssey PCS card system and the CS Access system from CBORD have been integrated with video solutions from NICE Systems campus wide.

When a new residential assignment is made all relevant systems are updated, granting access privileges and assigning schedules without staff intervention – thus reducing the risk of human error. The NiceVision system integrates with CBORD’s solutions enabling staff to manage access control, alarm management, and video surveillance from a single interface point. This makes it easy to spot and acknowledge security incidents quickly improving security and easing overall workload.
