Revamped ID card gives Texas students more services

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

A recently updated UTSACard from the University of Texas at San Antonio provides a range of new benefits and services to students and employees. The card can be used at locations across the UTSA campuses and can earn students discounts when presented at local businesses such as movie theaters and nightclubs. Faculty and staff can use the card to take advantage of an employee discount program.

Like the old card, the new one works as a free ticket for students to all UTSA home NCAA sporting events such as men’s and women’s basketball, tennis, baseball, softball, and, soon, football. Card holders can load dollars onto their UTSACard account to be used at campus dining facilities, vending machines, copy machines and the UTSA Bookstores. Funds can be loaded using financial aid dollars, cash, check or credit card.
