CBORD users honored at annual conference

Two organizations and one individual were recently presented Excellence Awards during The CBORD Group’s 29th annual User Group Conference, which drew more than 600 attendees to San Antonio, Texas. The recipients were honored for their innovative uses of CBORD products and their contributions to the CBORD community.


South Eastern Sydney and Illawarra Area Health Service received the Visionary award for their innovative use of CBORD’s Food Management Systems database, Foodservice Suite, Nutrition Service Suite, Bedside Menu Entry, Data Movement Utility, Enterprise Transaction Manager and more.

The One CBORD award was given to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for integrating multiple CBORD systems, including Diet Office Management System, Odyssey PCS card system and Webfood online ordering system.

CBORD presented its Above & Beyond award to John Matherson, North Carolina A&T State University, for his leadership as director of the Aggie OneCard Office. Matherson played an integral role in establishing the school’s security system, which includes CBORD’s CS Gold campus card system, CS Access, CS Action and Response Management, 38 digital video recorders from CBORD’s partner NICE Systems, and more than 350 cameras.

CBORD’s 30th annual User Group Conference will be held September 25–28, 2009, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, Maryland. [end] 

RockWest Technology Group presented at the National Association of Campus Card Users annual conference, in Phoenix.

The company’s Education Business Development Manager, Steve Benitez, presented jointly with the Identification Systems Group on the topic of contactless smart cards vs. magnetic stripe cards as a secure, reliable and convenient multiple application solution for campus users.

IE Market Research Corporation has announced the release of its new report, 3Q.2010 Global Mobile Payment Market Forecast, 2010 - 2014.

The report predicts that in 2010 alone, mobile payment users will exceed 500 million. This number is set to grow at a compound annual growth rate of of 20.5% to reach over 1 billion users in 2014, representing $1 trillion in transactions.
