CBORD, Pelco to provide video security for college campuses

Wednesday, October 1, 2008

Campus card provider CBORD has partnered with Pelco, developer of video security systems, to improve on-campus safety. The partnership will provide colleges with single-click live video playback that can enable quicker responses to security events.

The new solution, which integrates CBORD’s CS Access IP-based access control solution with Pelco’s DX8100 DVR system, will connect technology platforms across campus for data flow between access control systems, alarm management software, campus card solutions and point-of-sale systems.

CS Access combines IP-based access control technology with powerful alarm management triggers such as notifications, live video display, lock down, and more, says Cindy McCall, vice president of marketing for The CBORD Group. [end]
