Cindy McCall promoted to CBORD's vice president of marketing

Cindy McCall, former marketing director for campus card provider CBORD, Ithaca, N.Y., has been named the company’s new vice president of marketing tasked with overseeing the promotion and marketing of the company’s entire product line, including campus and cashless card systems, food and nutrition service management software, housing and judicial process management software and integrated security solutions.


McCall’s primary responsibilities will include targeting marketing efforts to the health care, college and university, continuing care, and corporate industries; branding the CBORD image and name; and providing both the CBORD marketing team and clients with the necessary support to achieve their objectives.

McCall joined CBORD in 2002 as a marketing manager, and in 2005 was promoted to marketing director. [end] 

In an effort to refocus the company for future growth, Aware, a developer of biometric systems and solutions, has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer, chairman and executive chairman. The appointments served as promotions mostly where Edmund Reiter, previously the president of Aware, has been promoted to CEO, chairman and will retain the title of president. Additionally, previous CEO Michael Tzannes has been promoted to the position of executive chairman. Both men will be stepping into their new roles starting on Jan. 1.

“Sharing a Wealth of Knowledge” was the theme of the recent Users Group Conference of The CBORD Group, a provider of one-card systems, food and nutrition management technology, and integrated security solutions for universities, health care facilities, and more. Held in Baltimore, the conference focused on providing educational, training and networking opportunities to the nearly 450 attendees.

CBORD has announced the appointment of its new Chief Operating Officer, Max Steinhardt.

Since 2006, Steinhardt has served as CBORD’s senior vice president of operations, developing extensive knowledge of manufacturing and service at CBORD. Steinhardt carries a strong portfolio, previously serving as vice president of sales at TMS Sequoia and general manager at Adaptec, where he sold data-storage peripherals producers such as HP, IBM, and Dell.

UK roadside restaurant chain Little Chef has announced the deployment Barclaycard’s contactless payment technology at all 173 of its locations.

The rollout, which will enable customers to pay for the check with a tap of their credit or debit cards, also includes Little Chef’s Coffee Tempo brand and Burger King franchises.
