Campus Cards, College and University Identification and Security

Dynamic Card Solutions, Runge & Co. partner with First National Bank to offer all-in-one campus card

Colorado State University students and faculty can now receive an instantly-issued campus ID and Visa debit card rolled into one, thanks to a partnership between Dynamic Card Solutions, a developer of instant issuance solutions for banks, credit unions and retailers, First National Bank and Runge & Co., a consulting firm specializing in card issuance systems.

Dynamic Card Solutions’ CardWizard software application will be used to provide the university’s new RamCard Plus card. It can be issued from the campus card office in a matter of minutes. When CSU students or faculty and staff apply for their new campus IDs, they can choose a traditional RamCard student ID without the check card option or the new RamCard Plus with the Visa check card capability.

In addition to the traditional capabilities of the RamCard student ID that includes campus access, meals, library access, other keyless access capabilities and the ability to be linked to the campus RamCash Convenience Account, the RamCard Plus card can be directly connected to deduct funds from a First National Bank checking account.

“Runge & Company led the development effort with the goal of creating a RamCard program that will be at the center of student commerce – on and off campus – while providing state-of-the-art campus card functionality,” said Mark Driscoll, President of FNB. “Runge’s experience enabled us to propose a business partnership with the university that will build high levels of student participation and produce important benefits and financial rewards for both institutions.”

“With DCS’ CardWizard’s instant issuance software and the fully-customizable flat card printing option, First National Bank saw this as a great opportunity to offer a convenient way for campus ID and debit cards to be issued on one card,” added Stephanie Grosskopf, manager of card technology at First National Bank. “Being able to instantly produce the RamCard Plus in less then a few minutes eliminates long lines that allows us to service the customer in a timely manner and send them off with a quality product.”

“The ability to instantly issue a personalized card that can double as a debit card and student ID simplifies the process for college students’ use of their plastic cards,” said Ron Zanotti, vice president of DCS. “Giving students the ability to have a one-card solution eliminates the need for multiple cards and gives them everything they need right at their fingertips.” [end]
