CMU adds new payment app to support laundry and additional services

Central Michigan University has updated their laundry services enabling students to use Laundry Alert to notify them when machines have become available. Another convenience was added to the laundry services as students will be able to use their campus IDs to pay for their laundry.

Unfortunately though, the university had to add another ePurse application to the card called Campus Cash. The Campus Cash system is similar to the already in existence FLEX Dollars program, with which students can use to purchase items at retail stores, residences and restaurants on campus. The university is not expected to replace the older FLEX system with Campus Cash, but hopes to make it into a system for students to pay for the extras according to Anthony Smucler, coordinator of the Campus ID Office.
