CBORD, GoPrint expand partnership for network print management

Thursday, May 31, 2007

Students using CBORD’s CS Gold cards, which the company inherited when it purchased Diebold’s campus card systems two years ago, will now be able to use their card accounts to pay for printing and copying jobs with GoPrint’s multi-platform pay-for-print service. CBORD’s Odyssey card users already enjoy this benefit.

Ithaca, New York–The CBORD Group, Inc., the leading provider of campus card and access control solutions, and GoPrint Systems, Inc., the leading provider of multiplatform print cost recovery and network print management solutions for libraries, colleges, and universities, have announced an expansion to the companies’ existing partnership. Already a CBORD® Campus Elements™ partner for its powerful interface with CBORD’s Odyssey PCS™ campus card software, GoPrint® will now also interface with the CS Gold® campus card system.

Under the agreement, GoPrint’s GS-4 pay-for-print management solution will allow schools using CS Gold to process payment for printing and copying via campus card accounts. This valuable offering improves student services by increasing the number of locations at which cards may be used, and provides university IT departments the freedom to effectively manage network printing costs.

“We are pleased to enhance our relationship with GoPrint and offer our CS Gold users this valuable service,” says Randy Eckels, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, The CBORD Group, Inc. “We strive to partner with best-of-breed companies to support our customers in improving student services, and our partnership with GoPrint is an excellent means to this end.”

“We are very excited about this significant expansion of our relationship with CBORD, and specifically to now be able to offer CBORD’s CS Gold customers our GoPrint multi-platform print cost recovery system,” says Steve Haber, President, GoPrint Systems, Inc. “Furthering our partnership with the leading provider of campus card payment and access control solutions is a great compliment for GoPrint and an opportunity to forge an even closer integration of services in the future.”
