Asure ID expands Fargo’s software offerings

Fargo has released Asure ID, a suite of digital identity and photo ID card management solutions that allow organizations to create, manage and verify an individual’s identity. The suite comes equipped with Asure ID Solo, Express, Enterprise and Exchange.

Express: Asure ID Express is the ideal choice for organizations looking for affordable, powerful, and easy-to-use stand-alone photo ID card software with advanced card design and batch printing capabilities. A trial version is available at www.fargo.com. It retails for US $825.

Enterprise: Asure ID Enterprise is the perfect photo ID card software for organizations that operate over a network. Multiple operators and different departments can easily create, update and maintain multiple shared records in real time. It carries a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of US $1595.

Exchange: Asure ID Exchange is the perfect ID card application control software for organizations seeking intuitive card design, data management and advanced card personalization. Smart card users, both contact and contactless such as iCLASS and MIFARE, will gain particular benefits from Exchange’s iDIRECTOR™ (available later this spring). iDIRECTOR features powerful integration, enrollment and encoding capabilities. Luxand announced release of a free, downloadable version of its Blink! facial recognition software. The software provides as a biometric-based login service Windows 7 and Windows Vista operating systems via a user’s regular webcam. In addition to authenticating the individual accessing the computer, Blink! also takes and records a still image of each person trying to access the computer to help prevent unauthorized access, and touts the ability to correctly recognize stored faces despite poor lighting conditions or basic changes in a user’s look such as glasses or hair cuts.
