SmartCentric to build new applications for Irish Postal Service

SmartCentric has been selected to develop the next generation of Bill Pay and Phone Top up (Etopup) applications for the Irish Postal Service’s retail network PostPoint. PostPoint allows customers to pay their utility bills at their retail outlets and also top up mobile phones.

SmartCentric Technologies International Ltd today announced it has been chosen by An Post (the Irish Postal Service) to develop it’s next generation of Bill Pay and Phone Top up (Etopup) applications for its retail network PostPoint.

The applications that allow customers to pay their utilities bill such Gas, Phone and other bills at their local PostPoint retail outlet as well as topping up mobile phones, are being redeveloped to take advantage of the latest advances in terminal and security technologies. The new applications will be rolled out during 2007 out as part of a broad range of services to the Irish market through the PostPoint network.

Tallahassee-based Florida A&M University and campus card service provider CardSmith have announced plans to upgrade the university’s multi-functional Rattler Card program.
