Fargo Electronics appoints sales and marketing leaders

Fargo Electronics has named three smart card/printer industry veterans to its sales and marketing team: Steve Blake, Alan Fontanella and Charlie Ross.

Steve Blake now heads the product marketing area overseeing printer/encoders, software, systems, professional services and customer knowledge. Steve joined Fargo in March, 2006 with 25 years of previous experience in the ID card industry.

Alan Fontanella now leads Fargo’s product marketing for secure materials, system peripherals and enhancements, and accessories products. His management includes ribbons, inks, cards, overlaminates and visual security products. Alan has 9 years of previous experience with Fargo, including positions in international sales, hardware product management and materials management.

Charlie Ross, formerly Fargo’s eastern U.S. sales manager, now directs all U.S. sales. Prior to joining Fargo in June, 2006, Charlie served as director of sales for Bankoe Companies, a value-added reseller of infrastructure and security products including card printers, ID badges, and visitor management systems.

Northern Michigan University has selected Wells Fargo as the new financial services provider for the Wildcat Express Card, the university’s official campus ID card.

Beginning this fall, NMU students and faculty will be able to link their Wildcat Express Cards to their Wells Fargo checking and savings account for ATM and PIN debit card access. NMU’s University Center will also be home to a new Wells Fargo banking location and ATM.
