General Meters welcomes new operations vice president

Matthew Daly, who helped DHL Express improve its performance and efficiency, has joined campus card solutions provider General Meters Corp. as vice president, operations. He will work in the company’s Colorado Springs, Colo. headquarters helping the company to continue to deliver products ahead of schedule and overseeing other critical operational areas.


Matt brings to General Meters Corp. and the University One-Card System an 11 year distinguished career record with DHL Express and DHL Worldwide Express, in positions of ever increasing managerial duties. We welcome him as vice president operations. Matt is a part of the new team being put together to take advantage of the fact that General Meters Corp. is the technology leader in the industry and take it to the next level. Matt will join us at our Colorado Springs, headquarters.

Before joining General Meters Corp. Matt spent 11 years with DHL Express and DHL Worldwide Express. Starting as a courier Matt worked his way up through the positions of service center manager, operations performance manager and field service supervisor.

Throughout his distinguished career, Matt was called in when senior management felt they needed improvement, first at the center level and then on a very broad level. At DHL Worldwide Express, Matt was selected as a member of a special team to work with five district managers and 27 station managers to improve performance and efficiency. Performance levels were increased substantially under this program. Matt always met the goals set.

General Meters Corp. expects Matt to improve upon what already is the best client satisfaction level in the industry. Matt will also over-see bookkeeping and make sure products are maintained at the highest standards and that we continue to make deliveries before schedule.

Matt will report directly to Leon S. Gottlieb, the president, and in addition to being vice president, operations, will be part of the Advisory Board. In this role Matt will help guide the future of the company.
