NACCU office up and running in Phoenix

Tuesday, September 7, 2004

The National Association of Campus Card Users has officially re-established its national office in Phoenix, AZ. New executive director, Lowell Adkins, successfully opened the new doors last month and has hired a new business manager for the association. Congrats to Lowell and the NACCU board on the successful transition and welcome to the new staff.

From the NACCU National Office:

The NACCU national office officially moved to its new location in Phoenix, Arizona, effective August 1, 2004.

From October 2000 until this recent move, the national office was based in Troy, Alabama. NACCU was founded in 1993. For the first couple of years of its history, it was based in Baltimore, Maryland and later it was headquartered in Durham, North Carolina.

NACCU Executive Director Lowell Adkins is still in the process of working though the logistics involved with moving the national office. However, Adkins stated he and the national staff are dedicated to assuring a smooth transition and that the membership will continue to receive top-notch customer service. “I would ask for the understanding – and patience – of our members as we get our processes and procedures re-established in our new home,” said Adkins. “But, please let me know if you need our help – our goal of providing you with excellent customer service has not changed!”

Jenny Weisman, a former business owner who also has experience working with non-profit organizations, will serve as NACCU’s Business Manager in Phoenix. Adkins also said he will fill the Publications Editor position very soon. Adkins thanked the NACCU Board of Directors for their leadership and help during the move. “I want to express my appreciation to our Board of Directors for providing the leadership to set this process in motion – and for their continuing support to the staff,” he said. “This is a major milestone in the life of the Association. We all believe the organization will be the better for it.”

For more than a decade, NACCU has been a responsive, diversified source of campus card related information and services. NACCU membership is open to all colleges, universities, secondary institutions and companies that are involved with the campus card market. Since its inception NACCU has grown to include more than 460 Institutional members and over 80 Corporate Associate members throughout higher education and in various business sectors. [end]
